Burger King looking to team up with McDonalds to offer McWhopper

It is essentially the dream burger, a combination of the Big Mac and the Whopper! And Burger King have made rivals McDonalds an offer they will find hard to refuse by looking to combine forces and give the people what they want in the form of the best of both iconic burgers.
Burger King ran full page adverts in the New York Times and the Chicago Tribune as well as creating www.mcwhopper.com to propose that they and McDonalds team up to offer the novelty burger for one day only. That day would be September 21st which is International Day of Peace and proceeds from the McWhopper would go to non-profit organisation Peace One Day.
Customers of the hybrid fast food store-for-a-day would also be asked to sign their tray mat with their name and the names of people in their lives that they plan to make peace with. And it seems that McDonalds could be up for it with a tweet from the McDonalds Twitter account reading "Inspiration for a good cause @burgerking. Let’s do something to make a real difference."
McDonalds' CEO also posted a cheeky PS to their Facebook page which said "P.S. A simple phone call will do next time." Founder of Peace One Day Jeremy Gilley explained the power that the McWhopper could have saying "Corporate activism on this scale creates mass awareness and awareness creates action and action saves lives."
As for the burger itself, Burger King hinted at its' magic describing it as "All the tastiest bits of your Big Mac and our Whopper, united in one delicious, peace-loving burger. Developed together, cooked together and available in one location for one day only." Fast food aficionados will be hoping that Burger King can get this proposal over the line and the only question then will be whether you will be able to order McFries or King Fries with your McWhopper!
