Terrorist groups have without doubt inflicted immeasurable suffering on their victims not to mention the number of deaths. These groups commit genocide, terrorise governments and intimidate citizens for various reasons such as beliefs, religion, nationalism or patriotism.

Al-Qaeda is widely acknowledged as a deadly group. Founded by Osama Bin Laden, the aim of the group is to unite all Muslims in the world in a global jihad. In addition, the Sharia law is followed to the letter by Muslims. Deadly attacks of the Al-Qaeda include the September 11 attacks and 2008 US bombings. This group is well-funded and have all sorts of connections.

The Hezbollah is considered to be more powerful than the Lebanese army. This Shia’ist militant group was founded to counterbalance the occupation of Lebanon by Israel in 1982. There are plenty of terrorist attacks credited to this group such as the 1983 bombings of the US Embassy in Lebanon, AC flight 901 attack in 1994 and the 1994 Israeli Embassy attack in London, amongst others.
